I would like to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation to Ed Holgate and Southern Power Experts for his prompt and professional response to my request for possibly repairing or replacing our 11 year old Generac whole house generator. The generator's stator (coils) had shorted and burned out causing major damage to the unit. When Ed came out to our home to assess the problem, he had researched several alternatives for replacing the generator. After considerable discussion and evaluation of our situation and the fact that we planned to put our house on the market fairly soon, we both agreed that it would be in our best interests to disconnect the old generator and rewire the electric circuits to the original power panels.

Ed and his certified electrician arrived on May 15, 2018 to change all the wiring and disconnect the old generator from our propane source. The propane line was capped so that a new generator could be installed if a future owner wanted that option. The certified electrician did an excellent job and after the rewiring job was completed, he and Ed agreed to check 3 sets of 2-way switches that had been a problem for us for years. They found problems with all 3 sets of switches and spent considerable time (at no additional cost to us) to repair the switch wiring.

The friendliness and professionalism of Ed and his electrician was outstanding and if I were to give them a rating on this job, it would be 5 Stars out of 5! I would certainly recommend Southern Power Experts to anyone needing electrical work done or wanting to consider installing a generator.

Excellent customer service. Great attention to detail. The owner Ed took personal attention to all aspects. Same attention to detail and knowledge from his electricians. Pricing was competitive.

Hopefully I can post a picture-- you'll see the extra effort, they took on setting it stable in such a way to avoid runoff issues, while making it look good. Not the primary purpose of a generator but shows the attention to detail.
